Parking Changes Start July 1

Your license plate is now your parking pass, register now. AVIs only used to open gates. Do not back into your space if you do not have a front-facing plate.

The new License Plate Reader (LPR) parking system will be implemented on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Beginning that day, Parking Services will be reading your license plate to determine if you are parked in an appropriate spot allowed by your parking pass. Here are some good things to know:

  • First and most important, if you have not done so, please purchase your virtual permit (even if you are a current AVI holder.) If you do not do so, there will be no record of your parking pass. When your license plate is scanned, you will receive a $75 parking fine.
  • You may register up to three vehicles per account — each vehicle may only be on one account at any given time.
  • For roughly the next 12 months, you will still need your AVI to enter any lot or structure with a gate. The AVI will still function as it has in the past, only opening the gates at times you are authorized to enter.
  • Once inside the lot, the AVI is irrelevant. Roving members of Parking Services will scan your license plate to ensure you are parked in a spot appropriate for your virtual pass.
  • DO NOT BACK INTO YOUR SPOT. Your plate must be visible from the aisle. If your plate is not visible, you will receive a $75 ticket.
  • If you would like to purchase a front plate so that you can back in, you can obtain one from Parking Services for $15.
  • Everything else remains the same. The parking sections of the HOA contract remain in effect, including P3 24/7, Coupon, After Hours, and emergency valet.
