An electronic health record (EHR) like MiChart is a complex tool that we all use daily to help care for our patients. To make your experience better, it is critical that we understand your current state so we can optimize our systems and add tools to better meet your needs. 

To do that, Michigan Medicine has partnered with KLAS Arch Collaborative to conduct this survey. KLAS is a national group that benchmarks clinician experiences with their EHR, which allows your feedback to have national relevance.

Please know that your feedback drives real change! Since the 2023 survey, we have: 

• Reduced In Basket message volume by up to 25% and cleaned up 80 million old messages through the In Basket 360 Project. 
• Improved user experience through quality dashboards and enhanced provider training and education efforts.
• Launched DAX Copilot for ambient documentation, which shows statistically significant levels of reduced cognitive load and burnout, and improved work/ life balance.
• Began piloting other AI clinical tools like Automated Portal Response, Outpatient & Inpatient Insights, and more to help improve documentation efficiency. 
• Switched to a single password for stronger EHR security and easier logins. 
• Enhanced Kiosk computer usability, including faster login and launch times.

When completing the survey, even if your name is entered for the data match-up portion, no identifying information is received. Everything is anonymous and viewed in aggregate by role.
