House Officer Needed

Medical Staff Bylaws require a house officer to be part of the Credential and Privileging Committee.

The Credential and Privileging Committee will review the credentials of all applicants for membership. The Committee will make a report to the ECCA (Executive Committee on Clinical Affairs) on each application for Medical Staff membership. This report will include to which Service the candidate is to be assigned and delineation of clinical privileges. This report will be based on critical examination of the application and of the recommendations from the Chief of the Service in which the applicant requests clinical privileges.

The Committee will review all requests for biennial reappointment to the Medical Staff as recommended by the various Service Chiefs, in consultation with the Department Chair, and make appropriate recommendations regarding such reappointments to the ECCA. The Committee also reviews all CPT, SPT, and APT appointments as recommended by the GME. These in turn go to the ECCA for approval.

The time commitment for this committee is every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month for one 1 hour (meeting starts at 4pm). If you are interested, please contact Robin Tarter in the HOA office, 69205 or email rtarter.
