A Message From the House Officer Diversity Network

Please consider getting involved.

The Office for Health Equity and Inclusion aspires to increase diversity and inclusion amongst our faculty, trainees, staff and students at UMHS as well as promote health equity for all our patients.  We have a House Officer Diversity Network (HODN) group email and I encourage you to join if you’re interested in promoting diversity, equity and inclusion at UMHS.

As a member of the HODN you will receive information about research opportunities, volunteer activities, journal clubs, special events, etc.  This group email will be given to residency applicants so they can ask questions about diversity at UMHS.  Depending on the field they are applying, past applicants have asked about what it is like to be LGBT, Latino, African American, Middle Eastern, Asian, single, a man, a women, etc at UMHS/in Ann Arbor.  Getting honest feedback from current house officers helps them make their rank list and hopefully attracts the best and brightest to UMHS.

Please email me directly if you would like to be part of the HO Diversity Network.

Thank you.
