P3 & P4 Parking Structure Repairs

20 weeks of repairs set to begin on May 13.

Critical construction repair projects are planned to begin at P3 (Taubman) and P4 (Simpson) Structures on Thursday, May 13.  We ask that you please observe all signage and drive cautiously within the structures while these projects are underway.  Park in P2 as necessary.

P3 (Taubman) Critical Structural Repairs

This project includes floor, ceiling, beam, column and wall repairs, expansion joint replacement and repairs, as well as traffic topping, sealants, and striping.  Work will be phased within the structure and will start on the ramps at Levels 3 and 3.5.

·         Weekdays:  Approximately 80 parking spaces will be closed continuously, with work occurring between the hours of 3PM - 11PM.  

·         Weekends (3PM Fri - 5AM Mon):  Up to 120 spaces will be closed for traffic topping and sealant work.

Signage will be posted notifying facility users of closure areas and adjusted traffic flow around repair areas.  

P4 (Simpson) Critical Concrete & Waterproofing Repairs 

This project includes floor, ceiling, beam, column and wall repairs, traffic topping, sealants and striping.  Repair work is primarily focused in the patient/visitor area on the west side of the structure.  

·         Weekdays:  For the first two phases of work, up to 60 patient/visitor spaces will be closed continuously.  Space closures will occur on the ground level (where patients/visitors enter at E. Hospital Drive) and in the basement level below.  In later phases, up to 30 patient/visitor spaces will be closed. Spot repairs will also occur within staff parking areas, with more limited space closures.  

·         Weekends (Friday afternoon - 5AM Mon): Traffic topping and sealant work will occur on weekends.  Concrete repairs will also be made at the structure’s north entry over a couple of scheduled weekends. Up to 60 patient/visitor spaces will be closed.
