Please Sign Voter Registration Petition
Help bring registration on-site for employees and patients.
Dr. Emily Ager is a current second-year Emergency Medicine resident here at Michigan Medicine and an HOA Board member. She is working with a team of physicians, residents, nurses, medical students, and law students to improve voter registration efforts in Michigan Medicine ahead of the 2022 elections. While options to improve voting access for students at the University of Michigan have improved dramatically over the last few years, voter registration options at Michigan Medicine for both patients and staff are severely lacking.
Our team has presented the following 3-pronged proposal (described in the hyperlink below) to various key stakeholders in Michigan Medicine and the broader University in order to improve voter outreach and voter-engagement efforts in the university hospital. Our proposal has already garnered significant enthusiasm from various parties in the university, including the Office of Patient Experience, the UM House Officers Association, theLaw School, the School of Medicine, the School of Social Work, the College of LSA, the Ginsberg Center, as well as the Board of Regents.
Unfortunately, Michigan Medicine leadership has bluntly rejected our proposal without so much as an explanation. We are reaching out to ask if you would be willing to sign the following petition to present to Michigan Medicine leadership in support of our proposal. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!
