On July 1, the new License Plate Reader system went into effect across campus. Please watch our for these common mistakes.

'O's and Zeros
Michigan license plates do not contain the letter 'O.' When you enter you plate number into the AIMS system for your parking pass, make sure you use the number zero, and not the letter 'O.' Using the letter instead of the number could lead to a ticket.

Do Not Back In
With the new parking system, you are no longer allowed to back in to a space. The rule is still on the books. Enforcement is inconsistent in some locations, but is heavily enforced in others. Please just play it safe and avoid backing in everywhere.
