Get Our Emails

Take steps to ensure delivery of HOA emails to your inbox.

Your @med.umich.edu email address is added to our newsletter and alert system when you are a member. The House Officers Association averages about 2 or 3 emails a month to our members. We work very hard to ensure our emails contain only important information for Residents and Fellows.

During contract negotiations it is more important than ever that you receive our messages in a timey manner.

There are steps we ask that you take in order to prevent our messages from being undelivered, delayed, or quarantined.

Digest Safe Sender

Time needed: approximately 90 seconds

Michigan Medicine uses a filtering system to delay delivery of low priority emails, including newsletters. These messages are delivered to you in a list of subject lines 3 times a week. You have to take affirmative action to release an email to your inbox. Our newsletters often include time sensitive information requiring action before your digest would arrive. We also find that many of our members end up missing important information when our emails are quarantined into the digest.

There's any easy fix! It should take you about 90 seconds.

  1. Log into the Exchange End User Digest Webapp
  2. The Microsoft login requires your full @medumich.edu email address not just your uniqname
  3. Click or tap "Lists" from the sidebar near the bottom.
  4. Select "Safe Senders List" from the sidebar.
  5. Click or tap "New"
  6. Enter hoaumich.org into the text field
  7. Click or tap "Save"
  8. Verify hoaumich.org is in your Safe Senders List and logout.
