In 2023, the UM House Officers Association created the Robin Tarter Award.

The Robin Tarter Award is given annually to someone who positively impacts the lives of House Officers — especially advocating for or advancing House Officer rights or wellness.

No one fits this description better than the Award's namesake, our own Executive Director, Robin Tarter. She was presented the inaugural installment of the prize in 2023. Now, it's time to start the search for the second recipient.

If you know someone deserving, please submit their story. Whether they improved House Officers' lives as a Michigan Medicine staff member performing invisible or unrewarded work or led a large project that had a positive impact, we want to hear about it.

Nominations are due by the end of the day on Wednesday, May 1.

The winner, along with the person who nominated them and their guests will be invited to join the HOA Board for dinner in June.
