The House Officers Association, AFT Local 5158, supports our nursing colleagues in the University of Michigan Professional Nurses Council (UMPNC) in their fight to secure the rights of APRNs. Our APRN colleagues should have the same ability to have union representatives present in all disciplinary meetings along with the same staffing and scheduling protections as other nurse's covered by their contract.

Healthcare takes a team and we are happy to stand with the UMPNC as they push for the best possible contract for their members. Members of the HOA who would like to show support for nursing negotiations are encouraged to wear red on Wednesdays.
