No More Open Gates Overnight at Parking Structures

You must take action to keep parking in Catherine, Ann, or Glen overnight without a Blue Pass.

Republished from MM Headlines: TRANSITION TO 24/7 GATED OPERATIONS FOR MEDICAL CAMPUS PARKING STRUCTURES

Logistics, Transportation & Parking (LTP) is moving to a more secure, 24/7 gated environment at medical campus structures. This change ensures that parking spaces remain available for the university community and are not occupied by unauthorized vehicles.

While most campus structures will require a paid Blue permit for entry at all times, LTP has preserved free evening and weekend access (6 p.m. – 6 a.m.) specifically for Michigan Medicine staff at the following locations:

  • Catherine Structure
  • Ann Structure
  • Glen Structure

Action required:

To maintain access to these three specific structures, you must link your vehicle to the new Evening and Weekend Access program. Without this registration, the gates will not recognize your vehicle or Mcard for free entry.

How to register online:

  • Visit the Parking Portal: Go to https://umich.aimsparking.com/
  • Link your vehicle: Select “Ann, Catherine, Glen – Evening/Weekend Permit” and checkout. Enter your license plate information.

Pull up: Once registered, your access will be active within 5 minutes.

The updated system uses LPR (License Plate Recognition). The gate will scan your plate and open automatically. As a backup, you can always tap your Mcard at the reader for entry.

If you encounter any issues, simply press the Intercom/Assistance button on the gate column to speak with a staff member who can assist you immediately
