The employment verification process for residents and fellows is the same as for any University of Michigan employee.

The Shared Services Center will provide a Verification of Employment letter. All information about obtaining a letter can be found on the Employment & Recruitment page of their website. Expand the Verification of Employment (VOE) sub-heading.

The turnaround time for a letter is usually 3-5 days.

If you have questions, please call the Shared Services Center at (734) 615-2000 option 1, prompt 4 or email them. Unfortunately, they cannot accept emailed VOE requests and all requests must be submitted using the instructions on their website.
