CoMet Training Opportunity
Don't miss this opportunity to become a better teacher. Applications due April 30.
The "What": A Fellowship Cohort of CoMET: a GME-Sponsored Community of Medical Educators in Training.
CoMET (A Community of Medical Educators) is a trainee-designed, trainee-led, GME-sponsored initiative which started in 2016. Twice monthly 90-minute sessions will focus on both the development of practical teaching skills with structured opportunities for practice and feedback, as well as the opportunity to design and implement a medical education-focused scholarly project. Sessions will be facilitated by some of the health system's most gifted educators. Our goals for the programs are to:
- Teach: Participants will leverage knowledge of core teaching skills to effectively educate learners in a variety of settings including in the classroom, at the bedside, and during procedures.
- Discover: Participants will develop the skills necessary to produce respected scholarly work in education.
- Inspire: Participants will be prepared to transition from trainee to faculty member in order to innovate and lead the next generation of medical trainees
The "When": A brief application is due by April 30, 2024. Application notifications will be sent by May 30, 2024. The course runs from July 2024-June 2025.
